Can I Make Money Recycling My Cans ?

Time and again, it has been proven that we can make money from waste. A lot of enterprising people have made a fortune out from waste materials such as plastic and aluminum cans.

The best part of it is that since waste materials are cheap and is sometimes given out for free; one does not need to have a large amount of money to start a small recycling business. With a little ingenuity and a lot of hard work, you too can earn money from trash.

To get started, you need to identify places where you can get cans for free. Workplaces, schools, parks, train stations and other public places where people usually congregate are your potential sources for recyclable cans. Once you have identified your probable sources of recyclable cans, you need to ask permission from the administrators of these places to set up recycling containers. Don’t worry, a lot of people support recycling programs so you are less likely to encounter any resistance from building administrators if you ask them for permission to set up recycling bins.

After setting up your recycling bins, you need to check on them from time to time. Set a collection schedule for your cans and make sure that you stick to your schedule. Remember that this is your business and if you want to earn money, you need to take your business seriously.

Aside from identifying your sources of recyclable cans, you also need to find a buyer for your cans. Contact some of the recycling companies near you and ask them how much they are willing to pay for your cans. Different recycling companies offer different prices for recyclables so make sure to shop around first and compare prices before you commit to any of these companies.
