How Many Greenhouse Gas Are There ?

There are several greenhouse gases. Any gas that is capable of trapping heat on the earth’s surface is a greenhouse gas. To a certain extent greenhouse gases are essential for the earth. But, excess of these gases can damage our earth.

Some of the greenhouse gases are as follows:

Fluorocarbons and sulfur hexafluoride: These are a sheer result of industrial processes and chemical releases.

Carbon dioxide: It is released by several methods including air pollution. It is also released by trees and plants. Plants need it for photosynthesis so they also use what they release. However, other sources of carbon dioxide are burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, solid waste wood, and wooden products.

Nitrous oxide: This is the least contributory of the green house gases but it can be released into the atmosphere through agriculture and industrial processes. Also, when any form of solid waste is burned, it could become nitrous in property.

Methane: Methane is produced by agriculture and growing products like paddy. Even live stock farming can create methane. While burning fossil fuels, even methane is generated. So, there are several sources of methane created by human beings.

Water vapor: This is the simplest form of greenhouse gas. It is called H2O. It is required to cool down the atmosphere, and as the air cools, it moves upwards and causes rain. This is a balancing gas on the earth’s surface.

Ozone: Ozone or O3 is the purest form of oxygen. It is also an important greenhouse gas and it also balances the earth’s atmosphere.

How-To-Calculate-Greenhouse-Gas-Emissions-For-A-Business      These days several businesses are being granted tax credits for keeping their greenhouse gas emissions low. They are called carbon certificates and the industries that leave the least amount of carbon credits are given several benefits by the government of the respective country. This could be valuable information for investors and companies looking to save on their average costs. More..
